Blakely Island off the shore of Washington is only about 6.5 square miles, with about 31 residents in 2010, down from 56 in 2000. No public ferry services the island - private boats, ferries and aircraft serve as transportation to and from the island. 

Still, the island is rich in history, nature and recreation.
