Black Cherry wood.
USA grown hardwoods are a renewable, biodegradable and sustainable resource.
Amy used this memorial at the Norfolk Botanical Garden in Norfolk, Virginia, to create a commemorative ornament for its shop. It is engraved with the words, Breaking Ground.
The memorial was erected to honor 220 WPA workers who diligently labored to tame the swampy land and plant it with 4,000 azaleas, 2,000 rhododendrons, 100 bushels of daffodils, several thousand camellias and shrubs.
Made in Wisconsin. Cutting and engraving are sharp and accurate to design specifications. Each ornament is inspected and packaged by hand. Comes completed with a red satin ribbon.
Solid hardwood, grown and milled in the USA, is finished with non-toxic, food-safe oil that brings out the beauty of the wood and protects for years.
